Adult Christian Education
In the Wesleyan tradition we seek to “unite mind, heart and spirit through spiritual growth”. Adult Christian Education offers a wide variety of growth opportunities through-out the year, from Adult Sunday School, Walk in the Word Discipleship Courses, our Summer Session series, Spiritual Leadership Training, Teacher Enrichment, Directional Pathways, and First Connections for new members. Adult Ministries provides opportunities for adults to develop relationships within the body of Christ, an opportunity to share their faith journey with their Acton UMC family. All are welcome! Administrative Ministry
This opportunity to serve provides help with putting together our church wide mailings, answering the phones, keeping the pews supplied with consumables, changing the outdoor signage, data entry, and other clerical duties as needed. Learn More >>
Children’s Ministry
Our children’s ministry here at Acton UMC is committed to introducing your children to Jesus Christ and equipping them with the foundational skills they will need as they grow and learn how to honor God with their lives. Communications Ministries
Communications ministry is responsible for providing communications expertise with regard to website creation and maintenance, graphics layout, soundboard operations, and video productions. The goal of this ministry is to increase awareness about how the “Body of Christ” is at work at Acton UMC through our programs and events in the church, in our conference, and our community. Congregational Care Ministry
This ministry seeks to respond to our congregation and community by providing the presence of God’s love for those who are experiencing a variety of needs from illness and personal loss to loneliness and the need for prayer, and so much more. Lord’s Acre
This is an Acton UMC tradition! It is an event that is anticipated all year, a day filled with the blessings of fellowship, food, and fun. This fundraiser assists in the growth of our church in a variety of ways…from the huge garage sale, to the auctions, to the bake sales, to the casseroles, to the craft sale- there is something for everyone! Wheels of Joy Ministry
The Transportation Ministry is a great opportunity to reach out to the congregation here at Acton. Our drivers participate in driving for various church activities, as well as providing transportation for those who can not otherwise get themselves to doctor’s appointments, to the grocery or pharmacy, to worship on Sunday, to Music at Acton and other trips as needed!
