Under the arch of AUMC’s mission to glorify God, lead others to Christ, nurture disciples and serve other in Christ’s name, we work specifically at the Rancho Brazos Community Center to build relationships through Jesus Christ, mentor children and youth, offer life-skills training and provide freedom, hope and relief.

The Rancho Brazos Community Center is an outreach ministry to the community located on the corner of Tumbleweed Lane and Sundown Trail, off David Road in the Rancho Brazos subdivision.

Activities:

Cooperative ministry with the Boys and Girls Club after school each day during the school year which provides tutoring and a variety of enrichment activities

Children’s enrichment activities including gardening, music, dance and drama

Cooperative ministry with Headstart which provides ministry to families with preschool aged children

Vacation Bible School each summer in the neighborhood

ESL (English as a second language) classes offered free of charge on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM. Child care and dinner is provided for participants.

Persons are also available to assist with reading (Adult literacy) and one-on-one tutoring in a variety of areas.
