Reaching out to help
others
Rev. Dawne McAlpin directs our mission ministries.
Social
Discussion Group
Tuesdays at
noon in room E4.
Bring your sack lunch! As United Methodists we are called
to a “prayerful, studied dialogue of faith and practice.”
It is easy to ignore social issues in the world around us
or act defensively when others, even our brothers and
sisters in Christ, understand issues differently. However,
as people of faith (ESPECIALLY United Methodist people of
faith), we are called to engage the world as a voice for
justice and mercy. Remembering that there is no holiness
apart from social holiness, come join us as we engage our
hearts and minds in these discussions of some of the social
issues of our generation.
