August 19th - Sandy Beach Community Center Groundbreaking

On August 19th we will celebrate the groundbreaking of our new community center at 3715 Sandy Beach Dr. Festivities will start with a parade at 5pm at the entrance to the neighborhood and the groundbreaking will begin at 5:30. This will be a memorable event, so don't miss out! Parking is available at Acton Methodist Church and a shuttle will be provided due to lack of parking at the community center.

Septrmber 23rd - Emergency Response Training

Want to get involved and learn more about Disaster Response? Acton UMC has created an Early Response Team (ERT) that consists of folks who go out to the disasters (floods, tornados, etc.) and help those affected. We do this with a “Caring and Christian presence”. We are trained by authorized UMCOR trainers, and are given ERT ID Badges as evidence of completing the training. We are holding a training class at Acton UMC Youth Building on Saturday, Sept. 23rd from 9 am – 5 pm. If you are interested in attending, contact Pastor Ben.

Stephen Ministry

Do you know someone who is hurting and could use a caring individual by their side? A loss of a loved one, a job, an illness? We have trained Stephen Ministers ready to meet with that someone who is hurting. A Stephen Minister will listen, care and pray with that someone who is hurting. This confidential ministry is open to anyone who needs a caring person to meet with them. Simply call the church office at 817-326-4242 and ask for Pastor Margret Fields
